Azalea Garden Plein Air Painting – Descanso Gardens

Descanso Gardens Azaleas

Along with the bountiful spring bulbs at Descanso, the azaleas are in full bloom, a temptation for the plein air painter. This scene prompted me to paint mostly with red-green complements.
