Yes, spring is here - the hillsides covered with fresh green grass, the birds singing in every tree, and gentle breezes replacing the harsher winds of winter. Well, as harsh as it gets in Southern California - which is not much, all things considered.
This particular scene is a pathway in Descanso Gardens. But it could be just about anywhere in So. Cal this time of year.
Still, we welcome springtime as does everyone else. The wildflowers have already begun blooming and I’m looking forward to some poppy painting soon.

Nice variety of greens. Feels quite peaceful and inviting.
I’ll have to get back to Descanso. I have been several times, and each time I seem to see more paintable material. This to me is a real sign of growth , not just a successful painting or two.
How inviting this one is Karen. Delightful.
I want to walk down that path into that aqua blue beyond… great piece.
Yes, an inviting scene with lovely greens and turquoise. Hard to imagine that it is spring. Here iit’s the beginning of autumn and a lot of dead leaves are on the ground already. The heat wave has at last finsihed and it’s lovely now at 25 degrees C.
