Blind Contour FrumpDay

November 17th, 2005

I didn’t do the self-portrait last week, because, well, I forgot about the theme until it was too late and I had already drawn the loosely-wired fire hazard hanging lamp of Damocles.

This looks a little like me, here and there. Except for the nose. And the mouth. The hair looks like mine, though!

See other blind contour drawings through the link at Inkfinger.

  1. I’ll never get how you guys get this kind of result. Whenever I attempt a BC, I end up with a nose left top of the page, a mouth right bottom and a pair of eyes scribbled on the tablecloth next to the paper.

    Great job! :-)

  5. This one is really good and the coloring is perfect. I like the composition too and how you look directly at the view.

  9. How did you get your eyes to follow me around the room? We can tell you’re somebody’s Mom…

  11. So THAT’S what you look like! Now I have a face to go with the name. I think. Ooooh … and your eyes DO follow me around the room!!!

  12. This is very nice. I always seem to draw the eyes on my portraits down near where the chin should be… I also love the way you drew your hair….:-)

  13. Linda … well, yes and no. I sort of look halfway between the top one and the bottom one, which I re-posted from an earlier BCF. Nose more like the bottom one, face shape more like the top one. The only thing consistent is the glasses and hair!

Yes, my eyes do follow you around the room. They follow each other around my face, too, which can be really annoying when I’m trying to look at something.
