Blind Contour Furday - Take 2
Click the picture to see the rest of the comic book about my often-thwarted attempts to draw Cat Mandu, our 21 year old brown tabby who stays alive through sheer orneriness, attitude and daily youth injections. You’d think with the amount of time I spend nursing and kowtowing to her she’d have a little compassion and hold still for a drawing session, wouldn’t you? Of course not. She’s a CAT. She’s OLD. She gets to do whatever she damn well pleases.
It occurred to me that maybe I should mention for anyone visiting here who isn’t part of the Blind Contour Cult (BCC) that these are drawn without looking at the paper. To see more drawings of other cult members, go to Inkfinger and check out the column on the left hand side.

You captured the spirit of your subject so well. That was funny and cheered me up.
great BC-and really great and creepy comic!
And I thought dogs were difficult to draw!!!
) What a hoot.
Aw, that’s brilliant!!! Now I’m grinning, it’s so funny! I liked the thought bubble
Cats are terrible to draw, so uncooperative! When I was drawing my BC last night my cat came and sat directly in front of my subject and would not budge. So I tried to draw her..THEN she moved!
hahahah. Great Cat-a-log! perhaps next week your pet can draw you??? Love the format!
HA HA! this is so funny. great idea. I love the ending!
The parts were good though! haha.
This is sooo funny. BC comics - what a great idea.
wow! what a great way to use all of the work you did in a cohesive way! you did great, as far as i’m concerned. the parts are as nice as the whole; they all have a great deal of character.
Wonderful, brought a smile to my face
What an ambitious endeavour! So many BCS! Very nice!!
Hilarious! and what a brilliant way to bring them all together ….
wow and wow and wow, what a great bc!!
Gosh, Karen! That was…Brilliant! That’s really the catch-all word for your BC cat comic. I so enjoyed that! What’s Kitty’s name, or did I miss that somehow (which I’m pretty good at doing)?
This is a wonderful use of the frustration at a constantly moving cat! Mine can’t even sleep without shifting something as soon as I decide to draw them. It’s radar!
What an awesome idea and it turned out great!
tried BC before and it was fun. this one looks so much fun. i enjoyed it!
Great BC! and the story is very funny
This is so creative. I love the idea!
Karen, I love the creativity behind this comic. I think this is the reason I can only draw from pictures! Even buildings don’t seem to want to stand still for me!
Brilliant idea Karen! You’ve captured that look too. This is why I love cats!
And Felicity, you KNOW that look, don’t you ? You get it from all angles!
K.
This was absolutely hilarious. I just loved it.
O goodness gracious is that one piecemeal beast or what?! I’m lovin it!
